Blue skies over Grosvenor Vale as Kinja run out 5-1 winners

Kinja ended the season on a high after a superb away performance that ended Wiseman West's promotion hopes for this season in a convincing 5-1 away victory.

At a chilly Grosvenor Vale, the hosts thought they had got off to the perfect start when number 10 slid the ball home from 2 yards out, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Kinja responded by taking the lead on 9 minutes, Mastrup picked up the ball just inside the box and finished superbly into the top corner past the stranded Wiseman keeper.

Wiseman then picked up and grew into the game, forcing a number of corners and creating a few half chances. Kinja defended superbly and then hit Wiseman on the counter through the pace of Satkuruparan who was instrumental all afternoon, he put the ball across the box and the Wiseman man stretching to block the ball put the ball into his own net. Kinja's clinical finishing continued before the break with Sichali's wonder-strike, curling the ball past the keeper from outside the box with the sun challenging the Wiseman keepers vision. It then got even better for Kinja before the break when Satkuruparan wrapped up his brace after getting in behind the defence again and finishing calmly past the keeper to send Kinja four goals up at the break.

Wiseman West started the second half brightly and got their rewards on the 58th minute when the number 8 struck from a long way out into the bottom right-hand corner of the net to deny Kinja a clean sheet. Antonio Triuino was then introduced for Kinja and within minutes of entering the pitch, he was sent through on goal, and beautifully lobbed the out-rushing keeper to restore the four-goal margin for Kinja. The Wiseman defender trying his best to prevent it from going in on the line but failed to do so and picked up an injury in the process that resulted in a lengthy stoppage in the match.

The perfect away performance from Kinja on the last day to prevent a Wiseman West promotion after fellow promotion hopefuls Ickenham lost on the final day also. The result meant a fourth-place finish for Kinja, with thoughts already turning ahead to next season where Kinja will look to build on this season and challenge at the top end of the division.

On a day where the whole team performed superbly and anyone could have won the man of the match, the man with the brace Satkuruparan was a constant threat to the Wiseman defence with his pace and trickery. Two well-taken goals and a superb outlet for the fast counter for Kinja, he gets my man of the match.
